Best Pebble Analog Watch Faces
August 11, 2013 4:37 pm Leave your thoughtsI’ve been wearing the Pebble watch for a couple months now and I really got used to having notifications from the Pebble watch. For example: my phone is normally silenced just because I don’t really like the noise, however wearing the Pebble will prevent me from missing any calls or messages. This is very handy. My dilemma at the moment is choosing when to wear the Pebble because aside from technology and coding, watches are one of my interests too. I am used to using analog watches as I think it’s easier to tell the time that way and having the 12 hours displayed on the watch face give us a sense of ” available time”. Of course aside from those, there are also the aesthetics of analog mechanism.
Anyway, the above brought me into finding the best analog watch faces available today for the Pebble watch. It took me a while to go through the collections to find the ones that I think are really functional and look good after installed in the Pebble. It’s all a matter of taste however I think there are certain designs that looks better than others when looked at physically installed in the Pebble watch. All of these faces are available from mypebblefaces.com by the way, impressive website.
Simon
This analog watch face looks great when installed on the Pebble, it has clear distinctions of the hours markers with moving seconds pointer. As a plus the watch face also shows today’s date.

Gatekeeper
A classic looking watch face, easy to read and elegant looking. If you visit the watch face page, you’ll notice that this particular face comes with a whole bunch of varieties, some with white background, vibrations, etc.

Fancy
As the name suggests, this watch face looks fancy. At a glance it might look a bit much but after getting it installed on the Pebble it actually looks good. I like to think of this watch as a homage to those designer watches out there.

Swiss Railway
Clearly inspired by the Mondaine watches, this watch face looks clean and simple. There aren’t much fancy looking graphics but this is what the Mondaine watches looks like anyway and we can now have this look on our Pebble thanks to this watch face’s developer.

Modern
The modern watch face emulates today’s hybrid analog with digital back watches. When installed on the pebble, the watch face, especially the black one actually blends in perfectly with the watch. As a plus, the watch face comes with digital day and date display too. If you look at the watch page, it’s actually translated to 30+ languages, pretty good I’d say.

Rosewright A
Finally, it’s the Rosewright A. I just have to put this one in the list as this watch face has some serious grandfather clock to it. What I love about it is the intricate design of the hour and seconds hand which emulates the real thing.

Closing
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and discover some interesting pebble watch faces today. I know I had to spend a bit of time sifting through the great collection of Pebble watch faces in the Mypebblefaces website, so I hope I have saved you some time. Obviously, the number of the faces collection will continue to grow as Pebble SDK improves further and we can expect that there will be more watch faces in the future.
